Sad Truth about Social Voting This issue can be endlessly argued but never resolved: to get your submission hot at a popular social voting site (read: Digg), you should be its power user (that means work hard to become one: submit things daily, add friends and get known there!).

That might be unfair but it is true and you can’t do anything with that.

Digg is broken and it is actually working the exact opposite of how it is supposed to.

Well, probably, because of that Digg (as well as any other social voting site once it gets popular) is not a collection of best stories from all over the Internet, it’s rather a collection of stories chosen by a handful of power users…
