500 Million Facebook Users Can’t Be Wrong

Within the next week, Facebook will welcome it’s 500 millionth user. Only five months ago, the 400th million user signed up to the social media network but it is the latest milestone that will celebrate the users.

Facebook insiders have revealed a new plan to incorporate the people who are making the social media network more popular than any other. A website within the social media site will be created called Facebook Stories. Everyday users can submit their own personal stories about the effect of Facebook on their own lives.

The stories will then be cataloged by theme and location. Themes for user stories will include stories of finding love and natural disasters. In 420 words or less, users can tell their story and market it out for ‘likes’. The stories that are designed as the most popular will be showcased by the site.

Launched just six years ago, Facebook wants their latest milestone to showcase the people that made the site the most popular on the Internet for social media networking. While other sites have tried to gain an competitive edge, nearly 500 million people have already spoken and it’s hard to deny the impact Facebook has had on the world.

  1. This is definitely a huge achievement BUT let’s not forget that Facebook had one of the worst customer satisfaction scores on the recent ForSee Results’ E-Business Report (only MySpace scored a point less), and until they implement a robust system of PROTECTING their users from spam and scam, many-many millions will keep using FB very cautiously, if not distrustfully.
